The Story of You
Your life is a story. Everything that you know about yourself and have experienced is based on a story that you learned to tell yourself, starting as a young as a young child. The people in your life as well as your experiences have helped you continue to create the story that you live with on a daily basis. It is what defines your values, desires, dreams as well as your judgements and fears.
Do you realize the effects your story has on your life?
If someone asked you to tell them your life story, what would you say?
If someone else were to tell your life story, what would they say about you?
Often women just need someone to remind them that the story they are telling themselves may not be the true. Our truth is often based on the limitations of our own perceptions, hurts, disappointments, failures, fears and the judgement of others. As women we all need to start using new words to tell our story, especially to ourselves if we intend to live a happy and healthier life.
"Without being listened to, we are shut up in the solitude of our own hearts."
