If you want to change your life in some way, a simple conversation is often the best way to start. Sometimes we think that no one else will understand us, but I have learned that as women, we are more alike than we are different.
Humans are inherently social animals, and we are happier and healthier when connected to others. One reason may be that the experience of talking with others helps us to interrupt or change the inner conversation that we have with ourselves every day. Self-talk is something you do naturally throughout your waking hours, without even noticing that you are doing it. More people are becoming more aware that positive self-talk is a powerful tool for increasing their self-confidence and curbing their negative thoughts and emotions.
Our thoughts are the source of our emotions and moods. They are based on our experiences, relationships, habits, fears and beliefs. Often we get caught up and stuck in our negative self talk which can be destructive and can influence how we feel about ourselves and everything else in your life.
Positive self-talk is crucial to our well-being. Negative self-talk is the result of unpleasant, painful, fearful, shameful or stress related thoughts. Thinking through a problem can be useful, but if you spend too much time rethinking the same negative thoughts, it can lead to more pain, fear, stress and anxiety which can affect your mental health.
Conversation therapy is one approach that is gaining in popularity, with growing evidence that it can produce supportive and beneficial experiences. It encourages the speaker to express themselves and gives a voices to their worries, fears and pain. It can generate new ideas, solutions and possibilities to help another person work their way their way towards solutions.
Each session will provide you with 60 minutes of conversation, which according to your needs can include professional listening, mentoring, empowerment coaching, strategic planning and creative solutions for all aspects of your life.
Each session must be paid for in advance. Please be assured that I respect your privacy and that your personal and contact information will remain completely confidential. These sessions will held on the online Zoom platform.
