Crystal Andrus went on to say that that even if we are not the red rose, we can still be beautiful. I went to bed thinking about that because I know that somehow we all want to be that red rose. Yet no matter how much makeup we put on, how much we exercise, how many haircuts, facelifts, tummy tucks, most of us will not be able to turn ourselves into that perfection. The problem is we are not a red rose. But that does not mean we cannot find our place in that big beautiful flower garden of life. Each of us are given our own identity, whether we are a marigold, daisy, tulip, or stand tall like the sunflower. We must nourish ourselves, yes drink lots of water and fill up on as much sunshine as possible, laugh and play in the wind to show off our own unique blend of beauty. For even the red rose will fade with time and the lesson is to find our way to live a full life while we are here, sharing our space with so many other plants that are striving to flourish in the garden of life!
The Gift of Re-Telling Your Story
I had an online course with the Simply Women Accredited Trainers last night. As usual many topics were discussed about women and their need to live better lives. I guess that is what we are all striving for in our busy and complicated lives. There was one woman who shared her story about breast cancer and how she has gone on to live her life after surgery with the love and support of her husband.
