Sometimes they just want to walk away from it all, to avoid having to deal with the whatever, but from experience, they know that it will follow them no matter how far they try to get away from it. They listen to everyone else's opinion about it, hoping to find simple solutions, but that often complicates things even more.
They sit and think about it. They go for a walk and think about it. They go to bed thinking about it. They wake in the middle of the night thinking about it, exhausted and try to get back to sleep, so that they can avoid thinking about it.
In the quiet moments when they first wake up, they lay in bed thinking about their situation with the clarity that early morning brings. The wisdom of their own inner voice speaks clearly to them and provides solutions, giving them the motivation and courage to get up and do something about it.
But then another day begins and 90% of yesterday's thoughts come back to them about the
- What if that happens
- I shouldn't do that
- I can't do that
- I don't know how to do that
- It's impossible to do that
- I don't have the time to do that
- I don't have the money to do that
- I don't have the education to do that
- I have no one to help me do that
- I have too many responsibilities to do that
- I am not strong enough to do that
- I am not smart enough to do that
- I am too old to do that
- I am not pretty enough to do that
- What will people think of me if I do that
- Too late to make that happen
- Some day I will do that
- I am just going to stop trying to have or be that
- I will just accept that I am never going to have more than this so I am going to forget about that
Yes because of all our many excuses that we have created in out mind to avoid doing anything about making better choices and changes, we end up living our lives just putting up with the way things are. We accept to live day to day, unknowingly wasting the precious moments of our lives that we will never get back, no matter how many regrets that we will have as we get older.
Some of the hardest things women will ever do will be to make choices and changes to improve their lives. They know that they have to and want to make better decisions for themselves but fears and old habits will hold them back, creating resistance and confusion in their decision-making abilities. Despite their intelligence, ability, experience, strength, support and their natural instinct to know what is good for them, they refuse to listen to their own voice of reason.
They continue to live in their old life story instead of taking any action to create a better one.
This site is dedicated to the belief that women can find a way to
live healthier and happier lives by finding
new words to tell their life story.
