A Woman's Story
She decided to live the life she imagined...
Every woman needs someone to encourage her efforts and dreams.
This site is dedicated to the belief that women can find a way to live healthier and happier lives by finding new words to tell their life story.
The Land of Beginning Again
I wish that there were some wonderful place
Called the Land of Beginning Again,
Where all our mistakes and all our heartaches,
And all of our poor selfish grief
Could be dropped like a shabby old coat at the door
And never put on again.
Don't get stuck in someone else's story. Stop waiting for permission to do what you want.
You can make changes in your life but first you have to decide
what it is that you really want, which is one of the hardest things that you will ever do.
Once you know what it is, then you must take the time to understand
what is stopping you from having it?
Your Life Story
Everything changes when you start to tell a better story about yourself.
Think of this place as a safe haven for your struggles, disappointments, hurts and secrets. It is a virtual get away from the noise, demands, limitations and stress of your life. Here you are given permission to go after your dreams and find the courage to do the things that you know will bring you happiness.
One of the greatest regrets in life is being what others would want you to be, rather than being yourself.
~ Shannon L. Alder
A Woman's Story is a place thats offers you support, encouragement, inspiration and nourishment for all aspects of your life.
A positive process for change.
Long before I was a writer, I was a listener. I learned to be silent and let others do the talking. I turned my listening into storytelling and I now realize that storytellers have the opportunity to entertain, educate and motivate the listener. Through stories, we can better understand ourselves and we are inspired to take chances to improve our own lives.
Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?
~ Mary Oliver
Our deepest wishes are the whispers of our authentic selves.
We must learn to respect them.
We must learn to listen.
